Pristella Tetra ( Pristella maxillaris )
Native to South America this tetra with a translucent body and vibrant fins tends to catch the eye of community keeping aquarium owners. Pristella tetras make for a great community tank addition and should be kept in a school of at least 6.
Size/Lifespan: Pristella tetras grow to around 4-5cms making them great fish for small to medium aquariums. With proper care these fish can live up to 5 years.
Habitat: Gentle filtration works well with a sand or smooth gravel bottom with plants but making sure you leave some open swimming space for the fish.
Temperature: 22-28 Degrees.
Ph: 6.0-8.0.
Diet: Pristella Tetras are a omnivorous species. A mixed diet of High-Quality flakes or micro pellets as well as frozen/live bring shrimp or blood worms an some spiralina flakes.
